A few weeks ago, Generations had another beach day at Corona Del Mar, and as is usually the case, I brought along my camera. The rest of the photos will come later, but these two were too classic to wait for... My lovely friend Chantel and her beautiful baby boy Colton are not uncommon subjects of my photography, but that day was different...

Different because Colton is two now, and he has become, in her words, quite the monster. I love these two photos because they really capture what motherhood is like...

Series Shots

I'm working on playing with series shots these days... just for fun, and because I have time on my hands. I'll put something else up today, but this is just a quick first shot and being creative this morning...

Waimea Landing

Inspired to head to Waimea for Jo Jo's famous shaved ice, my family got in our rental car armed and ready to eat as big of a snowcone as humanly possible. Of course, we were also prepared to walk the short distance to Waimea Landing and shoot like crazy. Here are a few of my shots from the day.

Before you ask, I don't know... I don't know what it is with me and rusty objects. I just can't help myself. I see one and I'll drop everything to get a picture. I'm actually adding a tag for this because I see myself doing much more of this in the future.

Senior Retreat: Day 2

Day 2 took place on Coronado. I have to say, these are my favourites. Why? I got to shoot a game of ultimate frisbee (played with a bike helmet!) photojournalism style... The finished product awed me... I feel like they're in the same style as the Santa Monica photos I did in August, like they belong in a clothing catalogue or magazine somewhere. I'm now taking names of people interested in participating in some fall/winter fun with this shooting style in mind! Also featured are a few shots of the surrey bikes we took out, and the last two shots are of the San Diego Air Races, which were taking place nearby.

Missing Summer

I got Kat's photos all fixed up, and then thought I'd upload these great Santa Monica photos I did at the end of August. Generations Church teamed up with LSI, and fun was had by all! Everything turned out way better than I could have hoped in terms of photography.
